I guess I took a brief hiatus from the posting on this medium.
Usually I like to tell myself that its because I’m busy. There is this belief I hold that being busy will eventually equate to achievement. Well Bob is NOT your uncle in this case (Please forgive the British cultural reference).
I have spent the last few months taking losses. In this time I have lost and buried my last surviving parent, I have left the HNG internship, and I have lost confidence in multiple relationships which I thought were rock solid. It has been a tough period.
This is where the conversation gets poetic. Through it all, I honestly believe I have come out stronger. No, I’m not kidding. No this isn’t any motivational trope. No I am not high and to the best of my knowledge, I am not delusional.
I honestly feel stronger. I approach every day with more certainty than I previously did. I am a lot clearer on what my values are. I am more comfortable within my skin – I’m self aware. I’m seeing and taking the world for what it really is. Looking at the world without rose colored filters really has reduced the amount of friction in my journey.
Things haven’t been all blues. I got into Andela this year. Currently undergoing their Devc Training. I have finished two semesters of my MBA program (will be blogging more about that). Most importantly, I’m alive and happy.
2019 won’t go down as my best year, but I feel it in my gut that it would be a pivotal year.
